Privacy Policy
Short version: SprintAudit reads your Jira sprint data to generate reports. It does not store, transmit, or share any of your data with third parties. All processing happens within Atlassian's infrastructure.
What SprintAudit accesses
SprintAudit is a Jira project page app that analyses sprint data and generates Excel reports. To do this, it reads the following data from your Jira instance:
- Sprint information (name, start date, end date, board)
- Issue details (summary, description, status, issue type, assignee, due date)
- Issue changelog (field change history — what changed, when, and by whom)
- Workflow statuses configured in your project
- Project field definitions (to identify custom fields like Story Points)
What SprintAudit does NOT do
- Does not store any Jira data on external servers
- Does not transmit any data outside of Atlassian's infrastructure
- Does not create, modify, or delete any Jira issues or data
- Does not collect personal information beyond what Jira provides
- Does not use cookies or tracking technologies
- Does not share data with any third parties
How data is processed
SprintAudit runs entirely within Atlassian's Forge platform. All API calls are made directly from Forge's serverless functions to your Jira instance using Atlassian's own authentication system. No data passes through any external server owned or operated by the developer.
The Excel report is generated in memory within the Forge runtime and delivered directly to your browser. It is not stored anywhere after download.
Atlassian Forge platform
SprintAudit is built on Atlassian Forge, which provides the hosting, authentication, and runtime environment. Atlassian's own privacy policy governs how the Forge platform handles data. You can read it at atlassian.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Permissions requested
SprintAudit requests the following Jira permissions:
- read:jira-work — to read sprint issues, changelogs, and project data
- read:board-scope:jira-software — to fetch sprint boards
- read:sprint:jira-software — to read sprint details
- read:project:jira — to read project workflow and statuses
All permissions are read-only. SprintAudit does not request write access to your Jira data.
Data retention
SprintAudit does not retain any data. Each analysis run fetches data fresh from Jira, processes it in memory, and delivers the report. No data is cached, logged, or stored between sessions.
Your rights
Since SprintAudit does not store any personal data, there is no data to access, correct, or delete. If you uninstall SprintAudit from your Jira instance, all access to your data is immediately revoked.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of SprintAudit after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
